Paying for College

What is FAFSA?

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Many colleges require the FAFSA to be considered for their scholarships and other student financial aid. This site provides everything you need to know about FAFSA, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, including; getting organized, creating and keeping track of your PIN, filling out the application electronically, how to check the status of your application and the results online. Federal Student Aid plays a central and essential role in supporting postsecondary education by providing money for college to eligible students and families.

What is WUE?

Western Undergraduate Exchange

Students who are residents of WICHE states are eligible to request a reduced tuition rate of 150% of resident tuition at participating two- and four-year college programs outside of their home state.
The WUE reduced tuition rate is not automatically awarded to all eligible candidates. Many institutions limit the number of new WUE awards each academic year, so apply early!
WICHE members include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.

What is the COF?

College Opportunity Fund

The College Opportunity Fund program provides a stipend for new and continuing in-state students going to college in Colorado. To receive the stipend, a student must apply for and authorize the use of the stipend at their respective institution.
