Post-Secondary Planning, Career, Interests and More
Throughout a student's high school experience, they can expect their counselor and their advisor to help them to get to work on an Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP). In addition, students will work on course selection during advisory to help them reach their post-high school goals. School counselors are also here to help with post-secondary planning. Guidance is given to each student to help them achieve to their fullest potential whether it be college, career, or trade school. Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to take the "Post Secondary Research" class with one of our counselors.

Work-Based Learning
Work-Based Learning (WBL) combines what you're learning in the classroom with professional training opportunities. By interweaving WBL with industry certificate and/or post-secondary coursework you're not only career ready...you're career competitive!
ASCENT Program
ASCENT is a program that pays tuition for students to take a year of college courses at a community college after their senior year. If a student plans appropriately, they can complete that 5th year of High school with as much as two years of college paid for.
College Before Graduation
BVSD students can earn free college credit at the same time as high school credit, giving them a head start on their college and career goals.
