World Languages

¡Hola! My name is Beth Deherrera and I am a Spanish teacher at New Vista High School. Prior to teaching at New Vista, I piloted two middle school Spanish programs in Brighton, Colorado and Memphis, Tennessee.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and Communications from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I spent a year studying abroad at La Universidad de las Americas in Puebla, Mexico. I also have a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis on curriculum & instruction from Jones International University in Centennial, Colorado.  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my two children, Julian and Mila, running, reading, and eating sweets :).  I choose to work at New Vista because I love the close-knit culture that exists between the students and teachers. I adore my students and feel blessed to have the opportunity to work with them each day.
