A wide open road of possibilities at New Vista

Students at New Vista have the opportunity to participate in our trophy-winning Ultimate Frisbee Team, coached by our very own, Mike Codrey.  Mike is also a Social Studies teacher and an Advisor.  New Vista students have also been known to participate in the Nederland High School Ski Team and have earned the distinction of participating and placing at the State level.  New Vista Students who wish to participate in a varsity sport need to contact the Athletic Department of their home high school.  If a New Vista student would like to join the Nederland High School Ski Team, please contact Nederland High School's Athletic Director directly.

New Vista students who participate in a varsity sport must abide by the same regulations, academic eligibility requirements and code of conduct of every other student on the team.  Absences for team sports must be cleared and approved by Ivette Visbal, our Dean of Students.  Please see our Attendance Secretary, Anne Kelly, for the required documentation.

New Vista students who pursue a physical or athletic activity outside of school, other than a team sport, can also earn credit through our Independent Study program.  Please contact our Independent Study Coordinator, Marinela Maneiro-Goodwin,

New Vista students enjoy competing on the Nederland High School Ski Team.  Eve Colton ('20), left and Leah Kalil ('18), right, competed in style on the slopes.
